Sibylle Westbrook
Lemur Love's volunteer Sibylle Westbrook is passionate about animal conservation and humanitarian justice. In 2019, she fulfilled her life-long dream of traveling to Madagascar and seeing lemurs in the wild. This trip profoundly affected her, and she went on to fundraise for La Marmaille elementary school in Mangily, Madagascar. Together with Lemur Love, Sibylle's initiatives have resulted in a new school building, over 20000 lunches served to undernourished students, and aid to vulnerable families of school children during COVID. Additionally, while in Madagascar, Sibylle had an unexpected encounter with an injured lemur Brigitte touched her profoundly. Sibylle wrote a book about Bridgette, and has used the book to further mobilize funds for lemur conservation.
